Been trying to lay my hands on this book..but WTF... Singaporeans all so cheapo...everybody wanna borrow @ National Library, but don't want to spend a single cent to purchase it....
Wow! This book that interesting meh?Besides Kiasu, kiasee, din know singaporeans are that " you mo shui". please summarise the contents in your blog once u finish this book. hahaha..
Different people have different interests. I'm always interested in the makings of modern Singapore, what our forefathers went thru to build this country, this society,to understand our short history, and what makes the later generations so slack and lazy where even a mosquito sting will make them cry for mummies.Which is why i respect China nationals for their willingness to slog,to take hardships. The uncle who wrote this book is a recently-retired top civil servant who's well-trained in economics. Reading this book will enable you to understand something about policy-making and economy as well as how Singapore suffered under the ruling of the Malaysians back in 1960s.
From what you wrote, I'm convinced that you won't be interested, let alone understand, the contents in this book.
