It's been some time I really update this bloggie with quality post..ok..here's a
summary of what I've been doing..

Finished my degree in late Nov,bum around for a while until an old friend from poly asked me to join him as some Service Engineer..(if that sounds good)..well,a brief intro:
Astute Pte Ltd is a Payment Terminals Management service provider.If that sounds chim(Big Head,I heard you!),well,quite simply,they managed and maintain the NETs machines you use in the shops.

Our job is to go on sites to install and configure the NETs terminals.In case you're
not aware,there are many types of payment machines there,using different means of transfering payment dats.The most common one is to use telephone lines,but in road shows,other methods included Bluetooth,GPRS and SIM cards.For us though,it's quite simple.We went to designated merchants(shops)to retrive back those with software versions "104" and replace with "106".

Apparently,"104" machines are laden with bugs,but we can't tell the shops owners that right?

So,we bluffed them it's a "software upgrade,and will speed up the transactions".How true,I don't know.

Although the job don't pay well,but it's a lot of fun.We will collect 20,40 sets each time and travel in my friend's Mazda to various shopping centers to do our stuff..Chinatown,Bugis,Marina,Far East Plaza,Takashimaya,Sengkang,Tampines Mall etc..you name it,we been there.Meeting with people is fun..some shop people are plain cheapo,ask for extra rolls of papers for the machines etc..
well,using "reward power"(people who studied management will understand this),sometimes I granted them their wishes(made them happy and hopefully remember my face and give me discount when I buy from them in future),or those who pissed me get hell from me..haha..seems like they're buying those pathethic rolls of papers at $2 each..Not too ex,but still add up to costs rite?
Heard from them they're paying $500 as deposit,and $50 a month to NETs for the machines..

Anyway,it's quite a fun thing touring Singapore.Do you know there's a place call SengKang Comms Hub?
And know your way in the Chinatown's small lanes like Smith Street?No rite?And it's a challenge looking for free/cheap parking round these place...
You know in Takashimaya,the 2 towers can go as high as 28th floor,with a penthouse?Occupying the penthouse is a young chap with the business of helping people to quit smoking and stuff like that(gosh..I wonder how he can afford that place).And Shaw plaza (the one where Lido sits) consists of 2 parts..there's another Shaw something behind it,and its quite remote..

Also,Sally will be interested to know there's a Chixxxx (don noe how to spell),the type of people who tends to patients' backs,in one of Suntec Towers.And people in Tampines ar assholes...I got hauled by the damn security shit for pulling my little trolley in Tampines Mall.WTF.

Well,it was tired,but fun.We stopped the job when my friend found a job in Seagate.He has been urging me to join him there...hmm...I might just do so...
